About Us
Engineered Automation Components is a manufacturers representative firm founded in 2014, with roots stretching back to 1953. We only represent the industry’s leading manufacturers. We have always maintained long-term relationships with our customers and the companies we represent.
In 1953 the company was founded by Pete Jackson. It was named Jackson Engineering. The company quickly expanded into the Mid-Atlantic market with the addition of Bill Bowden and changed its name to Jackson-Bowden Automation. Our focus was intermittent motion control in the Assembly Automation field and actuators for the Process Control industry. Pete Jackson retired and the company name was changed to Automation Associates, Inc.. Bill Bowden retired in 1999. In both cases employees became the company owners, preserving 60+ years of application engineering and product knowledge.
In 2014, Engineered Automation Components split from Automation Associates to better adapt to the local automation market. We continue to represent only the highest quality component manufacturers in the industry.
